Terms & Acknowledgement
  • Service technicians must be permitted entry onto my/our property to read meters and/or perform other duties related to utility services.
  • If my/our utility account is outstanding after two months of billing, service may be terminated at any time, in accordance with the notice on my/our utility bill.
  • A transfer fee may be applicable for any transfer of services from one account to another.
  • If disconnecting, I must ensure I have the forwarding address in the Mailing Address section.
As a consumer of City of Swift Current utility services, I have read and agree to the above terms and conditions.
Your contact information may be shared internally among City departments as necessary for administrative and service-related purposes, in accordance with applicable privacy legislation and City policies.

Notice to Utility Account Holders

Utility Deposit

You will need to make a utility deposit before the utility connection is made. This can be paid with cash, cheque, debit, or E-Transfer. If you are unable to visit City Hall during working hours (7:45 am – 4:30 pm), you may deposit a sealed envelope in the night deposit box on the side of City Hall. For E-Transfers, send to frontline@swiftcurrent.ca and include the service address in the comments. To find out the deposit amount, call (306) 778-2777 or email customerservice@swiftcurrent.ca.

General

  • If you are renting, please forward a copy of the lease agreement to customerservice@swiftcurrent.ca prior to connection.
  • If connecting or disconnecting a business, please attach a copy of a business card for the contact person.
  • Utilities can be provided at two addresses for up to 5 business days without an additional deposit being required.
  • If you have an outstanding bill at a previous address, it must be paid before a new connection can be established.
